Blue Lagoon

Golden Circle, Iceland - Day 2

Whoops. Katie may have slept for 15 some hours last night. Anyhow, after we managed to awaken ourselves we were out and hunting waterfalls. First we explored Urriðafoss and then made the drive up to Gullfoss, which was truly beautiful. The only downside of Gullfoss was that it was on the golden circle and was BUSY! We continued on with busy, touristy hot spots and made our way to the Blue Lagoon. It was an interesting experience, that's for sure. Katie and I are glad we got to experience it, but probably would not go again. The water was a strange, ethereal pale shade of blue and as warm as bath water. Our package included a couple smoothies as well as a couple masks. We relaxed and enjoyed the experience for a little over an hour before making our way back home.
