Canoeing on Jackson Lake

Jackson, Wyoming - Day 4

Katie and I started the day off on a canoe. We splashed, we bobbed, but most importantly, we paddled. For nearly three hours we explored Jackson Lake, getting about three miles out from the marina near Hermitage Point at our farthest. Docking there was off limits as the whole area was closed off because wolves were currently denning in the area. Shortly after retreating from Hermitage Point, we ran our canoe ashore and had a little picnic. Bellies full, we made our way back in to open waters. We had switched positions and quickly learned that it was much easier to steer when Katie was up front. Because of this, we beached again and switched sides. This made our way back to the marina much easier. After our watersport adventure, we hopped into the car and went exploring the park. We pulled over to admire the view at several overlooks and scenic pull offs.
