Grand Tetons

Jackson, Wyoming - Day 3

I woke up at around 7am and snuck off to let Katie sleep in a bit. During my solo exploration I found a trailhead that I thought would be fun and a couple Elk between the cabins. We grabbed some quick breakfast at the general store in Colter Bay Village, and decided to go on that trail. After packing a couple backpacks, we headed to the trailhead to find a few feet in, that Hermitage Point was actually closed, but there were a few scenic outlooks that were still open. We hiked for about four hours and got some really spectacular views of the Grand Teton range. Post hike, we cleaned up and ate at John Colter’s Ranch House Restaurant and Bar. The food was really good, but pricey. We shared a half lemon chicken, side of fries and cheese grits, with cornbread and honey as an app. After dinner we played Go-Fish into the wee hours of the night; falling asleep around 10pm.
