Made it to Cancun
Cancun, Mexico - Day 1
Just after 3pm we got our room key. Relieved that the ordeal was over and we could freshen up and change, we ran up the stairs to our room, slid the key in the door and....red light. No dice. We tried once more and...a lady opened the door. I swear she said, "Sorry, Gary gave me the room two days ago." and promptly shut the door. We went back downstairs and let them know. Turns out they gave us the wrong room number. After that got straightened out we got into our room and changed into some lighter clothes. We cooled off for a bit and then made our way to the beach. The water is a beautiful blue green and the beach is immaculately white. We ran into my buddy Mike and his wife near the water. Fearing we would burn, as we hadn't put on any suntan lotion yet, we headed back to the room to cool off again and actually ended up falling asleep. We woke up after a couple of hours and decided to go for a moonlight walk on the beach. On the way back we grabbed some food from the pool side barbecue and ate it in our room. We are currently winding down even though there is a live band playing in the lobby quite loudly.
