The Colosseum
Rome, Italy - Day 21
On the last day of our honeymoon we woke up early and caught a train to Rome. We checked our bags into the train station and hopped on a subway to the Colosseum. There was something wrong with the subway and we stood there in a fully packed car for about 20 minutes. People started to bail, but without word the doors closed and it took off. When we finally got to the Colosseum we waited in line a bit and grabbed an audio guide. We then explored everything we could and listened to every bit of the audio guide. Afterwards we enjoyed some gelato and had some spaghetti and ravioli for lunch. We took the subway back, grabbed our bags, and bought a train ticket to the airport where our hotel was. We relaxed for the rest of the day and ordered room service for dinner.
