Christmas in the Jungle
Benque Viejo del Carmen, Belize
Merry Christmas! After a morning hike and canoe ride to a waterfall, the family took it pretty easy. Katie surprised everyone with a fun puzzle of the three sisters in beautiful Christmas Bear sweaters as well as a gingerbread house kit. Naturally, a fairly intense house building competition ensued. While Sarah had a professional builder on her team, Bill managed to blow the youths out of the water with his gingerbread skills. We spent the rest of the day hanging around the lodge and enjoying each others company. After dinner we played a game of white elephant and exchanged gifts that we had purchased while in Belize.
