Quiet Day

Copacabana, Bolivia - Day 12

Pretty boring day to write about....let's see....well, we pretty much took the day off. That included not setting any alarms and sleeping a good bit of the day away, watching a spot of TV (found a British show called 'Vicious' that was pretty ridiculous), and flying my drone a bit. One fun thing was that a neighbor to the AirBnB that we were staying at saw me flying the drone and came over. We couldn't really communicate because of the whole, 'I don't speak Spanish' deal, but I showed her the feed from the drone as I flew it around and at one point it flew over her house and she excitedly said "Mi casa!", so I think she got a kick out of it. She thanked me and went back into her house.

Even though everything I just wrote would make you think it wasn't...today was actually a pretty important day. Katie and I had a rough bit for a few days there and we had come up with contingency plans on how to get home ASAP if things got any worse. Today was the day where we decided to relax a bit and then with a clear head, decide if we were going to cut the trip short and fly home or pin our travel badges back on and carry on.

We ultimately decided to carry on.
