Lunch in a Volcano

Norðurland Eystra, Iceland - Day 8

Today was our second big travel day. Katie and I did get to explore a cave Grjótagjá, smell the sulfur spewing from geysers, see a lake dotted with volcanic steam vent craters, view another beautiful waterfall called Goðafoss, and had a sack lunch inside a 10,000 year old volcano named Hrossaborg. Soon we would be in our first 'big city', Akureyri (second largest urban area). Big city being relative to Iceland, as its not much bigger than Lawrence.
