Eiffel Tower

Paris, France - Day 18

Paris. We had actually created somewhat low expectations for the city. People say that Parisians are somewhat rude to tourists, and we were prepared for that. What we were not prepared for was how hot it was and how crowded everything would be. There seemed to be construction everywhere as well...but even with all that Paris turned out to be one of our favorite cities. Everyone we talked to was actually very nice and patient with the fact that we didn't speak french. We bought another pair of surprisingly affordable €10.50 all day passes. We rode it literally all over Paris and saw the Eiffel Tower (opted to climb the steps instead of wait for the elevator), french people, the entrance to the catacombs (they were just closing!), Notre Dame, the Louvre, and finally the Arc de Triomphe. Fun fact: as we waited in line for the Louvre, a couple came over and handed their tickets to the couple behind us...they already had tickets so they gave them to us. We used them no problem! Free trip to the Louvre. I felt kind of like a kid, we ran all over and saw a ton. Mona Lisa included! For dinner we enjoyed some delicious crepes and had macarons for dessert.
