Back to Manaus
Manaus, Brazil – Day 7
Today will mark the start of a couple boring travel blogs, sorry. Katie and I said our goodbyes to Ralf, Victor, Juma, and the Amazon and made our three hour journey back to Manaus. Pronounced "Ma-NOWs" by the way. We knew tomorrows travel day would be hellacious (more on that tomorrow!) so we opted to just relax at the hotel we had booked. It was an ibis hotel that was pretty nice for the price of $45 a night, probably $100-150 in the States. They had a restaurant so we didn't even need to leave for food. Finally having WiFi, we tried to catch up some on the blog and such. It was also about this time that we noticed I had a pretty gnarly mosquito bite on my right knee (remember this fact, it will be important in the next couple blogs!). It was pretty red and about 5 inches in diameter, but didn't itch or really bother me much. If it was any of the nasty mosquito contracted diseases it would of at least given me a fever. So with that being the case we decided to watch it. Aaaand....that is about it! Called it an early night and the fun will start tomorrow!
