Wedding in Thailand
Bangkok, Thailand - Day 16
Wedding day! Katie and I made our way to the Banyan Tree hotel around noon. Katie stayed to get ready with Desiree and I made my way back to our hotel on foot. Found a cool park, some cool shops, and had a hot two and some hour walk back to Baiyoke Sky hotel. I cooled off a bit and then got ready myself before making my way back to Banyan Tree. The wedding was an interesting fusion of customs. On the Thai side, there was the tea ceremony where Desiree and Kanin give tea and gifts to their elders. They also had a Q&A segment and cut the cake with a sword! On the American side, there were the first dances and bouquet toss. It was a beautiful wedding, we were so honored and thrilled to be a part of it. We wish for a long and happy marriage for Des and Kanin!
